Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026

The short version. This site has no accounts, no sign-up, no shopping cart, no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not track you and we have nothing to sell about you. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to put in an email to us. One other company does see something when you load a page: the company that hosts this website. That is explained below. No third party is contacted when you load a page — the typefaces on this site are served from our own server, not Google's.

Who we are

Atla Ventures is a one-person software company. It builds and sells desktop software; this website is its front door. This policy covers atlaventures.com only.

Placeholder — to be completed before the site takes its first order. The legal name and business address of the operator of Atla Ventures are not published here yet, and no company entity is claimed on this site. This paragraph is replaced with those details once they exist.

Questions about this policy, or about anything below, go to support@atlaventures.com.

What we collect from you: nothing

There is nothing on this site to fill in. No account, no login, no newsletter box, no contact form, no comments, no search box, no cart. We do not ask you for your name, your email address, your location, or anything else, and there is no place on this site where you could give them to us even if you wanted to.

We do not use analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no self-hosted alternative, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting scripts. We run no advertising and we are not part of any ad network. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we have never sold, rented, or traded visitor information, because we do not have any to trade.

Cookies: none

This site sets no cookies at all, which is why you have never seen a cookie banner here.

It does store one thing in your own browser: if you use the appearance switcher in the top right, your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key atla-look, with a value of global-light, global-dark, matinee or midnight. That is the entire contents. Until you pick one, nothing at all is stored and the page simply follows whatever light or dark setting your device already uses. It stays on your device, it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it exists only so the page does not flash the wrong colours at you on your next visit. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it, and the site works fine without it.

What our web host records

This site runs on shared hosting provided by MDDHosting. Like essentially every web server, theirs keeps standard access logs, which typically record your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, the page you came from if your browser sends one, your browser's user-agent string, and the response the server gave.

These logs are a by-product of serving the site. They are used to keep it running and to investigate abuse or attacks. We do not combine them with any other information, we do not use them to try to identify individual visitors, and we do not publish or sell them. How long they are kept is set by the hosting company's own systems and retention policy, not by us.

If you email us

The "Get notified" buttons on the product pages are plain mailto: links — they open your own email program with a subject line filled in. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press send, and the message goes straight to us, not through a marketing service.

If you do email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. That mailbox, support@atlaventures.com, is hosted by MDDHosting, the same company that hosts this website, not by a third-party email provider. We use what you send only to reply to you and — if you asked to be told when a product is ready — to tell you when it is. Your address is not added to a mailing list, not loaded into any marketing platform, and not given or sold to anyone. Ask us to delete your messages and we will.

Payments

Nothing can be bought on this site today. There is no checkout, no payment form, and no card details have ever been entered here.

When we do start selling, payment will be handled by an established third-party payment company acting as merchant of record — that company takes the payment and handles sales tax, and card details go to them, never to this site. We will name that company on this page, and describe what it receives, before it is possible to buy anything here.

Our software

One program can be downloaded from this site today: the Claude PC Widget. It is a plain zip file served from this site's own server, so downloading it is an ordinary request to our web host and shows up in the access logs described above, exactly like loading a page. Nothing is asked of you to get it — no account, no email address, no licence key.

The widget sends us nothing. It makes no connection to us or to any other company on the internet: it reads the transcript files Claude Code has already written on your own computer, keeps its saved history on your own computer, and reports no usage, telemetry, crash data, or anything else back to anyone. Once you have downloaded it we have no way of knowing whether you installed it, ran it, or deleted it.

For completeness, because it is the one network-ish thing the widget does: while it is running it listens on 127.0.0.1 — your own machine's loopback address, which is not reachable from the internet or from your local network — so that the usage calendar it opens in your browser can read and change the widget's own settings. That traffic never leaves your computer.

Photo Vault is not downloadable yet. When it is, this page will state plainly what — if anything — it sends back to us, and it will say so before the download appears, not after. Anything a program does on your own computer is described on that program's own page and in the program itself.

Hearth is published on its own site, hearthgratitudejournal.com. That site is separate from this one and has its own terms and privacy practices; this policy does not cover it.

Your choices

There is no account here to close and no profile to delete, because neither exists. In practice the only record we could ever hold about you is an email you sent us. You are welcome to ask what we have, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it, and the answer is a real person reading a real mailbox: support@atlaventures.com.

If you live somewhere with statutory data-protection rights — the UK or the EU under the GDPR, California under the CCPA, and others — those rights apply to you here, and the route to exercising them is that same email address. As for Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals: there is no tracking on this site for them to switch off.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. It is a read-only site: there is no visitor database, no user table, and no stored personal information on the server beyond the host's access logs described above. There is less to protect here than on most sites, on purpose.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
