Hearth

A private gratitude practice that never leaves your device.

✓  Free. No account traps, no upsell wall.

Hearth is a free gratitude journal that opens with a simple question: how would you like to practice today? There is no wrong way. Write a few lines by the fire, reach into the jar for something you wrote months ago, or sit down and tell a longer story from your life.

Everything stays on your device - entries, photos, and stories are stored locally and encrypted, not uploaded to anyone's server. No account is required, and there are no ads, ever. If you want your journal on more than one device, an optional end-to-end encrypted sync unlocks it for a small monthly fee - your device is always the free, complete way to use Hearth. No streak-shaming, either way. When you want a copy, Hearth reminds you to back your journal up yourself.
